7. CRUISING THE CARIAN SHORE - 'THE BLUE CRUISE', GOCEK TO BODRUM

This is the perfect route for first-time travellers to the Turkish Riviera. The coast is very beautiful, full of variety in a wild landscape of dramatic limestone cliffs and pine-clad bays. Excellent for swimming, kayaking and snorkelling in the small creeks, fishing, interesting walks and three major archaeological sites Lydae, Caunus and Cnidus (one of the most important sites in Turkey) and optionally a nights stay in the harbour of Symi. No built-up areas on this route.

Day 1	Afternoon embark 'Odysseus'. Overnight Göcek.
Day 2	Cruise Gulf of Fethiye. Overnight Lydae.
Day 3	Take a river boat up Dalyan River to ancient Caunus. Overnight Eckincik.
Day 4	Cruise along the Bozburun peninsula. Overnight Loryma.
Day 5	Walk across the 3000 year old Kasara Valley. Overnight quiet bay.
Day 6	Explore the great ancient city of Cnidus. Overnight Cnidus.
Day 7	Cruise to Bodrum. View the Crusader Castle (optional). Overnight Bitez.
Day 8	Morning disembark 'Odysseus'.
