OUR LUXURY GULET'S CREW

The 'Odysseus' luxury gulet has a professional Turkish crew of four. This is a high ratio of crew to passengers for a gulet in turkey - we do this in order to provide an excellent level of personal service.

Gulet Captain Mehmet Bayram is a qualified skipper. He is supported by three experienced mariners - Ali, the Steward, Mutlu, the Chef and Turgay, the Sailor.

The Gulet's Captain

Captain Mehmet Bayram has worked on the 'Odysseus' gulet for the past 5 years. He is a fully qualified Turkish Captain and has been at sea for the last 18 years. He knows the southern Turkish coastline like the back of his hand and loves the 'Odysseus' luxury gulet. Mehmet is responsible for your safety and indeed the safety of the gulet.

The Odysseus Gulet Operations Manager

Hasan Bayram, Mehmet's brother, is the Operations Manager of Odysseus Cruising based in Bodrum.

Hasan started his sea faring career as the chef on the Odysseus MS Gulet nearly 20 years ago. He is now in overall charge of all 'Odysseus' Cruising charters in Turkey and is your main contact when in you are Turkey.

Your Gulet Captain will have prepared everything in advance so you can set sail immediately on your cruise which has been tailored just for you. Using his intimate knowledge of the coast he will take you to places unknown to others. Your Masterchef will prepare delicious Turkish dishes for you that will delight your palate. He will use only fresh vegetables, fruit, fish and meat which are abundant in Turkey. Your Steward will bring you ice cold drinks, serve your meals and keep your cabin ship shape.

The crew of four work as a team to deliver an outstanding level of service. They will manage all aspects of the gulet when you are cruising whether under power or sail. They will ferry you ashore in the tender boat, show you the location of the ancient classical sites, help you with the language and even teach you how to dance!
