‘Although we have only been here for six days, being on board ‘Odysseus' was like being at home. Mehmet, Ali, Tugay and Mutlu made us feel like that, albeit that home was a five star floating hotel. Mehmet's skills in the gallery and on the high seas was unsurpassable; Ali's service, attention to detail and explanation of each dish presented before us was remarkable, especially his references to ‘oilyoil' and ‘potatoes'. Both were ably helped by Tugay and Mutlu. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The lapping of the waves, the creaking wood on board at night, the weighing of the anchor, the sounds of the cockerels in the morning - all these are noises that will stay with us for a long time. The early morning swims, the sunrises and sunsets, the bays and the blue skies and blue seas, even the wind, will be remembered for a long time too. It really was an oasis of tranquillity and serenity, peace and relaxation amidst the troubles of the world, particularly so this week. It was like being in a different world'.
