Istanbul by land to Safranbolu (at the entrance to the Black Sea region), Amasra and the masterpiece wooden mosque and on to Kastamonu, Sinop (a colony of Miletus that produced Diogenes as well as the timber for the Ottoman navy), Amasya, Giresun (famous for its hazelnuts), Trabzon (for a full range of wonderful visits), Yusufeli, Erzurum and fly back to Istanbul.
