Changing planes at Istanbul Airport

How to avoid getting lost and missing your connection.

Many passengers change planes at Istanbul, which involves walking from the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal and vice verse, on return. The route is lengthy, confusing and badly signposted. We have, therefore, produced detailed guidance notes for our customers for both Outward-bound Journeys and Homeward-bound Journeys.

Stopping overnight for a break at Istanbul considerably simplifies the problems. Also using Charter flights which go direct to your destination without landing at Istanbul avoids the problems. Do ask advice as to which airlines do this. Turkish Airlines always change at Istanbul.
